Hopefully I reach a happy medium between the two. 😅
Built a new Brawl deck for MtG: Arena- Bruenor, Battlemaster. It usually either loses pretty horribly, or the opponent concedes before Bruenor hits the battlefield. But... but... but when it *is* allowed to cook a bit, it's not just a Voltron deck. It's Voltron and friends!

Mucking around in MtG: Arena, trying to find a use for my Tonberry cards, and built a deck where every creature has Deathtouch.
Turns out, it's incredibly *fun* to play. I can see the gears turning in my opponent's head as they start really paying attention to what's on the play field.
Alt for list.

Note to #D&D players- when your Druid is kind enough to Polymorph a Bulette into a crab, the correct course of action is probably *not* to throw it at the Black Puddings that are (slowly) pursuing you.
It will take acid splash damage, transform back into a Bulette, and let the DM continue the fight.

Did some much needed maintenance on the succulent garden. The two cacti are new, but needed a pot with adequate drainage. The others may be a little worse for wear, but will be happier in spacious planters. Used welding gloves, still got stuck with spines right through them.

I really gotta wonder sometimes about the matchmaking in MtG: Arena, when it puts me up against six (maybe seven) lifegain mirror matches in a row.
(And all the decks are better than mine, but that's beside the point.)

Some time ago, I built a Guttersnipe deck. It was always a little wonky, but usually pretty fun.
I managed to recreate it in MtG: Arena. It won a lot last season, but this season my matchmaking and draws have been abysmal. Still, when it works, it plays like this:

PSA! If you have to take your phone to an event on Saturday, don't forget to turn fingerprint/facial recognition unlock *off*. And might want to disable GPS if you can, as well.

I don't have any actual pictures of today's D&D session, because we didn't even pull out the maps and miniatures. Yet, everyone did have a lot of fun...
... Despite the terrifying knowledge that they are returning to the Underdark, and delving much deeper than before. Somehow by choice this time.

Just having one of those days in MtG: Arena where RNG gives me bad draws, and matchmaking puts me up against hard control, repeatedly.
It's a good deck, just.... not today.

I saw this floating around, and had to verify for myself. Yes, this is a screenshot of my screen. Yes, the text and site is real and official.
Democratic leaders- why are you still imagining there is *any* way to negotiate with these people? They want you, and the entire democratic party, destroyed.

D&D session today. The party explored a shipwreck & did not respect the warning signs that it was an Illithid Nautiloid.
Intellect Devourers are a *lot* more dangerous than their CR2 indicates, especially when one jumps into the skull of the party's Monk and turns him into a CR7 whirlwind of fists.

Good thing the CDC tests for things like Listeria.... OH wait! They stopped testing for that, and other deadly foodborne diseases!

My Historic/Pioneer Izzet Guttersnipe MtG Arena deck was doing really good until today, when matchmaking decided that every game I played needed to be against a discard or removal deck, and the rng decided I only needed two lands per game.

Gotta keep reminding myself sometimes, "Block, don't respond. The trolls want you to respond. They want to make you angry."

I like a good challenge- like building a Tiny Home for a whole family in #sims4 that actually is livable. I think I did a decent job...

Hey Bluesky- what happened to the mass protests? I haven't seen anything trending since No Kings Day. Why aren't we all out there as often as possible? It's not like there's not a ton of things to keep protesting about.

I remember the constant terror of being an "essential" (aka expendable) employee during covid, and the great sense of relief once a vaccine was finally available and able to be administered to me and all my coworkers.
There isn't a hell that is hot enough for RFK Jr.
