Thinking about my late brother-in-law, John today. We lost him to addiction right around now during pandemic (2020). He was a musician, forever a punk rocker skater even into his 40s. This was his t-shirt that I was given after he passed. I don’t think he’d mind that I cut the sleeves off.

A few weeks ago I had the honor of being the moderator for the queer horror shorts block at 29 Queer Film Fest in 29 Palms, CA. I cannot tell you how happy the whole experience made me. It reminded me that when we gather, we create our own small Utopias, even if for just a moment. ❤️

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

wrote 20 pages on Faulkner's The Bear four hours before final papers were due on trucker pills and coffee and cigarettes and got an A, fuck you.

My My husband and I were discussing the fact that Dolly is the one celebrity for whom fan ownership feels appropriate. She encourages that in a way, while also keeping her distance in a loving way. It’s really an amazing feat.
