I don't tend to post things like this, but today the (formerly) most popular 3D print slicer decided to add Generative AI to their product. The reaction from the community they have grown over the years has been loud and clear. Not that it matters. Find a better slicer. ❤️

Been wanting to do Halloween stuff, like drawing my characters in costumes or something. But I'm struggling to get into the Halloween mood. I'm exposed too much to real horror to care about imagined horror.

3. People with positions of power use it for psychological manipulation. The more you believe we're not a democracy, the more you unwittingly accept your lack of agency in how our government is run. It misleads you into becoming more receptive to authoritarianism.

2. It's wrong. The US is both a republic and a democracy, and democratic principles are a cornerstone of our nation. Forms of government are way too complicated and nuanced to fit neatly into little boxes.

1. It commits a fallacy of relevance in an insufferably arrogant way. Even assuming the statement were true, it distracts from and fails to address the actual topic at hand (concerns over rising authoritarianism, politicians working against the interests of their constituents, etc.)
