Since we know DHS has a videographer can ALL the footage be FOIAed? Seems like this would be useful for both news and lawsuits. Everything recorded but not used. What DHS doesn’t show is likely more important than what they do.

Fun fact: my last party before Covid was a double bill screening to a group of 30 intoxicated friends on my office projector: Monkeybone (Blu-Ray) and a North Korean pirated copy of Cats (the original pre-patch version), which had just come out. I fear the event might have triggered the pandemic.

I mean, technically you can also use third party scripts to do it, but I figured the official way was easy enough and it didn't require any extra accounts or permissions on my machine.

You can and I just did.

It's fine to not like Windows, but my main machine has local admin/user accounts. The MS account is limited to the store/Xbox app.

The extended update program works like that. I just had to add the PC fingerprint to my account to activate it.

You just need to have the Microsoft account. You don't need to log into Windows with it. The (free) extended support entitlement is on the Microsoft account, and you add the device to it so it gets the updates.

When my Samsung QLED developed issues and I swapped back to my 1080p plasma, I was surprised at how much more streamlined the experience was.

Sure, there was no HDR, but blacks on a plasma were already great. Response times for games are solid. And no apps. Just inputs for devices. 😁

The de minimus exemption had little effect on offshoring. The biggest driver was the continual lowering of the minimum wage (due to not keeping pace w/inflation) and the desire to have "more" at the expense of quality. People will buy quality if they can afford it. Most can't afford it.
