A discharge petition to force a House floor vote to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits now has majority support in the House of Representatives. That means Speaker Johnson must allow a vote to protect Americans’ health care. Congress should not leave for the holidays without voting on this.

Former Liberal treasurer Josh Frydenberg has claimed Anthony Albanese is personally responsible for the 15 deaths in the Bondi terror attack, as the prime minister lays the blame on “perverse ideology, a terrorist ideology”. The comments were part of an extraordinary escalation of political rhetoric on Wednesday as the New South Wales premier, Chris Minns, said his government would consider new restrictions on protests that he said “would rip apart our community”. Frydenberg accused the prime minister of having “failed” Australia’s Jewish community over the Bondi terror attack. His comments come amid fracturing bipartisanship on the response to the shooting, with his former Coalition colleagues demanding federal parliament be urgently recalled to toughen immigration rules. While the federal Labor government has focused its immediate response to the terror shooting on potential gun reforms, leading Coalition figures have rejected calls to restrict firearms, claiming Albanese was seeking to “distract” from antisemitism. “Our governments have failed every Australian when it comes to fighting hate and antisemitism. Our prime minister, our government, has allowed Australia to be radicalised on his watch,” Frydenberg said in an emotional address at the Bondi Pavilion site. “It is time for him to accept personal responsibility for the death of 15 innocent people, including a 10-year-old child. Remember awhile back when AIPAC dropped Randy Fine from their website after he said "starve away" in response to 4 kids in Gaza dying of starvation?

AIPAC then said "consideration" for endorsing Fine would take place later.

Well, turns out AIPAC has added Fine back to their site:
After the tweet, Fine, who once said he was AIPAC’s “fastest-ever endorsement,” was soon missing from AIPAC’s website. Rep. Greene responded to the development by condemning Fine, saying that “calling for the continued starvation of innocent people and children is disgraceful.” AIPAC responded by saying that the allegation they had dropped Fine was “based on an unsourced speculative piece” and that consideration for Fine’s endorsement “will take place later in the cycle.” Sure enough, as of publishing, Fine is back on AIPAC’s online list of endorsees.

More than 1.3 million displaced Palestinians urgently need shelter, according to UNRWA, which says supplies for that population are sitting just outside Gaza, blocked by Israel. The UN reports shelter materials have reached around 4,000 families in recent days—only a fraction of what’s needed. Oxfam says this is not a failure of “preparedness or capacity” but the direct result of “systematic obstruction.” By blocking basic shelter materials, fuel, and water infrastructure, Israel is turning predictable storms into deadly events. “This suffering is being manufactured by policy, not weather.”
