Maybe try something unique that has not yet been overdone in media, aka, instead of quirks or abilities, how about maybe an unusual profession, life's work and/or job that puts them just enough out of every-day-stories to spice things up without sacrificing realism?

Humans are not made to be reasonable once they start unleashing anger - no matter how just.

It's unfortunate most platforms will not do anything about those accounts, but at least the Bluesky blocklists are (imo) a decent way to combat these types of accounts in a clean manner.

Sanity knows this zoo-shit disgusts me to no end, but I'm glad to read a moderate stance on tackling this.

The problem I've seen with these types of witch-huts is, that it turns people being morally correct into assholes ganging up on other assholes.
