The excuse for Europe not to support Ukraine with air and ground units was that Russia is a nuclear power. When it was clear Putin would not use nukes the excuse became any war with Russia is too risky. Now the front line is the frozen assets and now that's too risky for some too.

The US use the image of saving the world, yet in real life the the US government has not stopped terrorism or genocide for a very long time. In movies the US looks like a hero and in reality the government keeps helping russia and its terrorists.
