A mandala featuring organic patterns of a sunflower in the middle, dots and squiggles, gumtree leaves and pods, wattle flowers and leaves, and banksia in the outer rings. The outermost ring has sequential lines and dot patterns with concentric yellow circles above the banksia flower and green, marroon, ochre, and beige surrounding it. The mandala has a brown background, using colours of green, pink, yellow, beige, and maroon.

This is being worked on! The latest iteration is w3c.github.io/gpc/. The big problem here is that legislature needs to get involved, and if you think web standards are slow, wait til you see how long it takes to get unilateral agreement from global governments 😂😭

There's a form of computer art called "generative art" that has existed long before GenAI in which art is created with original algos/code/math. It's neat stuff and unfortunately gets caught in the crossfire often.

I made two CSS themes. Nebula I and II are simple, minimalist, and classless themes that look like Gemtext from the Project Gemini web protocol.

There's a blue and red theme.

arXiv will no longer accept review articles and position papers unless they have been accepted at a journal or a conference and complete successful peer review.

This is due to being overwhelmed by a hundreds of AI generated papers a month.

I wrote some first impressions of the new Affinity app. The main things I noticed were the app icons are harder to read and the app crashes on startup for me.

Good news: you can have V2 and V3 installed side-by-side.

The RBlind Lemmy themes are now available to all Lemmy instances as a default theme as of version 0.90. The light and dark theme are higher contrast and have other improvements. futurehorizondesign.net.au/updates.html...

Bluesky is “screen reader accessible” the way a staircase with curb cuts on each step is a “wheelchair ramp.”
No keyboard nav. No useful landmarks. No focus memory. I lose my place every time I interact with a post.
