It's not hard to see the influence of this on Raimi's Evil Dead films in the use of sound design, odd angles, etc. He of course pushed it to hard extremes.

Love the floaty tone poem feel of the voiceover, feels very of its time. It's odd that particular trope doesn't get more use, it can be quite effective, if a little cheesy in certain instances ("Can you read my mind?")

Did spend half an hour calibrating audio latency, which was actually fun, in that I just made a very basic "thud slap thud slap" drum track, then made a short and stabby song that lent itself well to being able to adjust the timing.

Plus lyrics like "a-tiddly wank, do a poo, up yer bum".
