Fuck 2025. Lost my mother, and almost lost my brother to cancer. Also, fuck NYE altogether, because out of all the holidays, it’s the most pointless. 2026 starts tomorrow, and thanks to the cruelty of Gov. Kim Reynolds, many Iowans will lose their Medicaid. Guess who here is on Medicaid? FML

The best Christmas days involve two crockpots: one slow cook in’ away with lil’ smokies in BBQ sauce, and the other with chili-cheese dip ready for chips. Spending the day binging movies and eating those two delicious snacks with my wife were what made the holidays fun. I so miss it.
