I make and build things and see the world as a stranger. I got big plans and things are afoot, iron in the fire, paint on the palette, etc. Stay tuned!

Be careful and try not to read too much "between the lines" Jane. I mean, what if this isn't what it seems?

Ya know. It really stinks when you're using a pipe tap to clean the vent hole threads on a 100+ year old cast iron radiator, and despite using tool oil as well as being as gentle as possible, said tap breaks off in the hole. Now I must remove the 200 lbs. radiator and see if I can get the tap out.

The Spanish Inquisition was a Christian enterprise. History shows that "Christian values" (or any values for that matter) are not much of a moral impediment to people that want to do heinous things.

I wonder whether at some point people who are currently Christian nationalists are going to figure out that Christianity isn’t actually a good fit for their core values - too much empathy, helping the downtrodden, etc - and just become pagan nationalists or something.

You know it's tremendously demoralizing to be a 51 year old who finds a kernel of funny amidst this accelerating hellscape in which we live only to be told by a younger friend, "yeah, I've seen a bunch of stuff like that" as they shake their head in mild annoyance and with a semblance of pity. 😔

Many of his enablers are less dismissive of Trump's actions and proclamation than they are complicit. And some of them are actively driving his policies forward. Trump will be off the stage soon enough. What comes next is likely to be worse.

My buddy surreptitiously had me talk to an app. I did not know he was setting me up, but I have to admit, the result is pretty funny.

The shitty part? AI will be the end of us.

The "MAGA" movement, as we sort of know, goes back to the John Birch Society. These people are relentless across generations. Trump is a very useful tool in their efforts, but he is only a tool. Unfortunately MAGA is not going anywhere for a long time. It's important that people realize this.

Whenever you think we're in "Late Stage Capitalism" and see things like this, it dawns on you that "Middle Stage Capitalism" has a lot left in the tank.

His statement continued, "With this bold new center, Syracuse is seizing the opportunity to lead -not follow—in preparing students to thrive at the intersection of creati ty, commerce and digital innovation. Today's college students are more entrepreneurial than ever before, driven to build personal brands that not only generate income but also give them the freedom to be their own boss, set their own hours and shape their own professional potential."
