Spotted in the wild!

A Forge of Ice Mutant Terror Bird being used as a mount for an Oldhammer Slan army!
This finally motivated me to dust off and paint my own personal copy of this mini.

It’s a start!
They’re so cool! They’re from Justin Sirois, at

www.severedbooks.store/listing/1902...

Pretty much everything that he makes is awesome.
Alllllrighty! Calling this done - the interior of the Old Bull & Bush, the inn in Talia Beckett’s “Wayfarer’s Sanctuary” novel.

This map will be featured in the very first RPG zine detailing locations & events from Talia’s novels. I’m writing the booklet, too!
My personal fave is an ancient Egyptian payroll note docking a worker’s wages because his old friend had come to town to visit & they’d gotten so drunk that he couldn’t work the next day.

Ancient peoples are simultaneously incredibly alien & incredibly relatable.

Few human behaviors are truly new.
Not quite the same but:
Here’s a, “I keep warning you about this, don’t tell me I didn’t talk to you about this later!” Kind of letter.
I think I went a little overboard in the stableyard, but, I’m just gonna live with it.
Drawing another map!

So many tiny dots.
Shipped a couple of these out yesterday! Still plenty of time to get in on the competition!
Mini Of The Month - November
Deep One Herald.

Ok so this is a special one. For November we’ve partnered with @fenrisgames.com for a single mini competition.

Your mission this month is to paint this, the Deep One Herald. It’s an awesome mini with loads of potential for shenanigans.

Doooo eeeet!

This is a template for a prop, a note that can be photocopied and handed to players in an RPG game.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
Honestly I think I know more women who are Trek fans than men, at this point.

Maybe - MAYBE - the fandom was more loudly dominated by men when I was a teen, but way back when I worked in a Comic Shop 20 years ago the customers buying Trek stuff were pretty diverse IIRC.
Yep!

Whoever wins the competition, I will ship you an art print of the original (pencil) concept sketch done by the man himself, John Dennett.

I’ll dust it off and take a picture when I have the chance.
Addendum 2

Brilliantly @forgeofice.bsky.social has offered up an art print of the original concept sketch to the winner.

Open to everyone, anywhere.

How cool is that?
Well, this is awesome!

If you’re in the US, you can get your Deep One Herald from me, here:

@fenrisgames.com has the rest of the planet covered.
More Forge of Ice Saleesa, spotted out in the wild!
I don’t use it very often, but when I use it, it feels like one of the best purchases I’ve ever made in my life.
If you happen to be in or near London, you should stop by the MCM Comic Con and check out a little preview of something that Talia Beckett and I are working on together!
I’m starting to feel pretty good about how my maps look in print (& after the excellent Mr. @roebeast.bsky.social cleans them up!)

Even enlarged to tabletop scale, (~ 30”x36”), I dig it.

I’ll never be as crisp as pro artists, but I think mine have a hand-made quality to them that’s got some charm.
Oof. Spot on.

There’s no way to “media literacy” our way past this.

We need laws and we need them NOW requiring … something. Shit. I dunno. Clearly visible watermarks on everything generated by AI with draconian criminal & monetary penalties for trying to get around it.

Something.
This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.
(Traci Lords from Blade was a narrow second place choice)
If you see this, repost with a vampire that is not Dracula.
The very old and sadly difficult to find “Gargantuan Fire Giant Lord” from Games Workshop is about 60mm tall, solid metal, and also looks kinda goblin-y!

One might be perfect for your needs.

They pop up on eBay from time to time.
