it claims the list of "harms" its trying to monitor was chosen to avoid LTBG issues, abortion etc, and while this may indeed be coming from a place of good intentions, surveillance still harms children and leaves a backdoor open for those with worse intentions. whose to say the list wont change?
Regardless of how you feel about Sammy's Law, I think one thing the bill's authors did that was smart was to specify what types of harms the tools can look for -- and, more to the point, what types they can't. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

"Sammy's Law" isnt the worst bill ive seen but i feel its worth mentioning to representatives that even with the best of intentions, more surveillance of children is still a bad idea, especially under the current administration

NPCs with one or two lines of dialog clearly communicate to the player that this character cannot help you progress.
We don't just choose not to include thousands of lines for NPCs because we're lazy or lack resources. It's bad design.
