I normally wouldn't crossposting someone else's post but I NEEDED to this time okay? just this post about nightcord interacting w/Mizuki's parents is just urgh (I want some, any, all of this to happen)

lylacynth13 9/7 I’d like to imagine that whenever Mizuki’s parents meet the rest of Nightcord they’re like overbearingly appreciative of them. Like they’re super caring and really grateful for how much they’ve helped out Mizuki. I think that as time goes on and they interact more they just sort of start treating the rest of Nightcord like their own children Mizudad offers a genuine compliment towards Ena’s art and continues to praise it. Ena has no idea what to do with so much affection from a father considering her own father offered nothing but criticisms. She makes a painting for him one day and he is awed. The next time she visits Mizuki’s house she sees the painting framed in the living room and it takes every fiber of her being to not break down in tears then and there mizumom hears about Mafuyu wanting to become a nurse and gets excited for her because wow what a goal! She must be such a hard worker! Mafuyu takes it the wrong way at first and feels like she’s being forced into a mold again until mizumom catches wind that Mafuyu also enjoys making music and gets more excited because wow! A nurse with such a fun hobby! A hard working student with a passion unrelated to her career goal but is fulfilling to her nonetheless!! Mafuyu doesn’t initially know how to feel about a mother figure being supportive of both her hobbies and her future career Mizumom and mizudad, out of habit from Mizuki, occasionally give Kanade head pats. She always stiffens at first, unused to the physical affection, before remembering how her parents used to do the same thing. They’re not quite identical. Mizuki’s parents ruffle her hair more than her dad did. But they’re still warm and in those moments that’s all that matters none of them think anything of these developments until one day Ena calls mizudad “dad” before pausing and going beet red
