Generally speaking, people smart enough for leadership either don't want that position or want to make use of said leadership in a non-benevolent way. If that wasn't the case, we'd have way more competent managers and CEOs, never mind politicians. Exceptions exist, but they prove the rule.
It's only "speech done right" in the sense that it serves their purposes. So much Republican donor money is poured into him and his organization. A bad faith actor with extreme views that the GOP has adopted & pushed for years.
No single polite interaction from him could fix that, nor should it.
I mean, it was never about the spending. If it was, there's a lot of stuff that wouldn't have happened, like two decades of a war on terror based on lies or the tax cuts every time a Republican controlled government comes into power.

"Boys will be boys" has always been a nonsense deflection to protect some of the worst behavior of entitled little brats who end up becoming entitled old men, continuing the cycle.
Sadly, leaving might be a good idea: TikTok is being sold to right wing propagandists. If not outright fascist nonsense they'll be pushing, it's going to be boilerplate right wing nonsense, and since they'll control the algorithms and such, it'd need to get sold again to get any better. Sad times.

Either way, lots of places to take stuff like that: Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc. Sometimes, you gotta call ahead; that might vary from state to state and store to store, though.
