And so, the sun sets and I have inexplicably and gratefully, with some trepidation, gained followers. I await the sense of profound disappointment and unfollowing, when they realise that this #SouthAfrican person posts mainly about DnD, Comics, #Libraries, Books with some lashings of Trek & Food.

South Africans - heads up!!
So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.
From Wikipedia with corroborating Citation:
In 2013 Bozell complained on Twitter that the mainstream media "mythologizes" the late anti-apartheid leader and first president of a post-apartheid South Africa, Nelson Mandela."

So... the same as running DnD for adults?
Playing DND with 9 year
olds comes in two flavors

1. Trying to find ways to
resolve things and make the Zombie our friend

2. Doing things that are
recognized as war crimes
My twelve year old laptop vomited code when I tried to run it.
Maps and the Encounter tool, is just my (and laptop's) speed.

My interest in the Archive is for the magazine, Upbeat - which SACHED published. The magazine was a counter to the State's Apartheid education system.
The letters sent by kids and poetry, are a snapshot of the time.
Angry, sad and at times hopeful.
It also had comics by the great Andy Mason.
Finally!
A forgotten and crucial part of the #SouthAfrican anti-apartheid struggle has finally been unearthed from Wits University's basement and is being digitized.
The Story of SACHED - its archive, now available for all to see.
Yay!🎉

I thought my "going-to-a-club days" were over - do they still call it a club - and I just want to know why the DJ booth takes up half of the dancing space. WTF. And is a VIP booth really necessary. Really.
Sigh...

I miss Raves.

For international viewers- the Harrington street is in Cape Town, South Africa.
Because librarians like plants need sunlight and music:

Attended #InBedbyTen at Harrington Street, whereupon they played music from the 80's, 90' and 00's for over 30's.

At no point did they play Prodigy. And this was disappointing.

Was Prodigy just an international (UK) hit.
