The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

This sure isn't going to win any awards, but it was the strangest cloud formations I have ever seen this morning!
Multiple small clouds that are almost identical!

“Sean Dooley, senior adviser at BirdLife Australia, said fake spiderwebs were a bigger problem here than in North America because Halloween coincides with nesting season in Australia.” 🪶
Those sticky Halloween cobwebs are killing our native wildlife
Plastics now comprise about 30 per cent of the material found in birds’ nests, as experts warn fake Halloween cobwebs sold at supermarkets are fuelling the problem.

Is there an explanation for why Palestinians are "prisoners" and Israelis are "hostages"?

Is the implication meant to be that the Palestinians were 'criminals' being punished through imprisonment?

It’s okay. I get a monthly thing from Scienceworks here in Smellburn which includes things to see. Mind you, they didn’t include that recent comet, but I think that’s because it was only discovered a couple of days before it became visible. (And I use the word “visible” in a very loose way. 😆)

I wish there was an alternative to the ❤️ for posts so I could acknowledge and agree but not “love”. (Remember how Twitter started off with the star?)

This #microscopymonday is a cleaning day. Watch how a #microglia cell mops up and phagozytoses debris and junk in a very messy neuronal co-culture. BTW, it was a proper cleaning job → the neurons made it and formed nice networks
Phase contrast imaging started at DIV1. One frame per 20 min.

While the media and political class fixate on tinkering with superannuation, a new report finds that 1 in 7 Australians are living in #poverty.

And it's 1 in 6 children.

In such a wealthy nation, this is an obscene policy choice. #inequality #RaiseTheRate #auspol
