a world in which abuse or starvation or genocide or homelessness or drug use or suicide or severe mental illness or murder or sex is "adult content" is one in which children's experiences are rendered shameful and explicit and the people who experience it are no longer allowed to be children

going to put forth one of my most die-hard takes again: there is no content that is inappropriate for any age group. it's all in the way you present it and discuss it with them. the content itself is the world they live in and you're not helping them by pretending their world is better than it is
nuance is enlightenment
if we leave someone behind, we're no better than those who left us behind.
contrary to what assimilationist types want you to believe, folks with different attractions do not, at large, have "different goals". what most of all of us want is to love and live freely, w/o having harm assumed or rumors and stereotypes given fuel.

no pride for some without liberation for all.
we need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
need to paint with all the colors of the wind
update to this, had a word with the owner a bit ago and i believe it was more of a language barrier issue, has been resolved now. apologies for the confusion caused by the previous phrasing!
you're absolutely free to be whoever and whatever you want to be, there's no requirements of any kind in terms of that!
beats me, if i'm being honest. the owner of nyaw seems relatively new to the scene. the place seems completely fine to me but i'm intending to address this odd phrasing some time soon.

if you want to play it safe, feral bond's owner has been around the community for a couple years already.
just make sure to mention where you've heard about the place once you apply for an account, tell us a little about yourself, and give us a point of reference (like a username you use on another platform) so we can form a better picture of what you're like in order to keep out bad actors.
by the way, if you're para / radqueer and still looking for a better place to stay due to the rampant censorship on mainstream social media, i can recommend checking out nyaw.org and feral.bond!

both sites let you be authentically yourself without constant fear of account loss.
it matters much more what a label means to someone who identifies with it than what it means to someone who dislikes said label.
judging others on an individual scale is much more useful than trying to fit everyone into some kind of box based on a label, labels can mean very different things to different individuals.

there's always this suspicious overlap of those who hate others because they assume they cause harm due to the attraction they have and those who have zero regard for others getting hurt because it's "entertaining" or "deserved" in some way

casual reminder that attempting to hold all members of a certain demographic responsible for the actions of individuals that happen to be part of said demographic is called collective punishment, it's pointlessly cruel, and more importantly it's entirely ineffective.
