These restrictions are citywide and have been part of the busking rules for decades. The root of this problem is that the organisers of this petition and the majority of buskers down here on the beach haven’t bothered to actually read those rules or listen to anyone else’s concerns.

Thanks but I’m not sure I have anything more to say at the moment. Glad to hear that the council have noted our complaints and hoping they do actually start to enforce the long standing busking rules.

Brighton’s only calendar made in the sea!

The 2026 edition of my ‘Sea Views’ calendar arrived yesterday and very lovely it is too. 14 pictures taken during year round sea swims, a tide table, and free salty sea air with every one.
