Glad you landed safely—and this morning I saw a news article about widespread flight delays caused by FAA staffing shortages, including control towers at some airports (including the one I live next to) being understaffed & even, in some smaller airports, completely unstaffed. So, yikes.

A missed landing can happen for a variety of reasons (coming in too high or low, not properly centered on the runway, traffic on the runway, etc). Could be overworked ATC, tower staff shortage, wind, another plane in the wrong place for some reason. Frustrating that you’ll probably never know.
