Traffic Advisory: Cambridge Street westbound is closed from Staniford Street to Bowdoin Street. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. See below from @police.boston.gov:
Traffic Advisory: Due to a manhole fire earlier today, motorists are strongly advised to avoid Cambridge Street, Staniford Street, Blossom Street, O’Connell Way, and the area of the Longfellow Bridge near Coolidge Square until further notice. Traffic may be impacted this evening due to the Celtics.

Boston saw 23 inches of snowfall this week and so far our Public Works personnel and contractors have removed more than 35,000 cubic yards of snow from city streets to our snow farms.

Please use the BOS:311 app to report areas in the city that require attention.

After the eighth-largest Boston snowfall on record (23 inches!), the work hasn't stopped for our dedicated Public Works team.

Crews are back at it today using equipment to clear intersections and curb ramps and widen streets. When cleaning off your car, please don’t leave snow on the street.
