as far as just messaging goes that video is probably the most embarrassing thing any president has done on the world stage in my life

and the fact that the sunday shows wont even describe it? total abdication of their responsibility
This is very likely the case. Keep the pressure on the GOP electeds and on Trump.
I unfortunately watched the video Trump posted showing him shitting on No Kings crowds. My prediction is only death, civil war or a coup will rid the world of this loathsome creature. Profound change will not happen with occasional rallies.
Mrs Slug aproves of the crowdshot montage. 👍👍👍👍
It's telling that the WaPo editorial board thinks that safety is a phony excuse for putting the brakes on autonomous vehicles. This is an outgrowth of Tesla's statistical argument that self-driving vehicles are safe. The actual record says otherwise.

Billionaires in service to other billionaires.
Imagine being the largest newspaper in Washington, DC with the motto "Democracy Dies in Darkness" and thinking to publish this today.

You might think WaPo editors would look out the window and realize something more important is happening. But perhaps democracy already died over there.

Go around these people. Quit playing by their rules that are inevitably a rug pull.

Force their hand, relentlessly push them backwards. Grow a spine. Republicans count on the lag caused by the courts, don’t give them that time. Make THEM play defense for once.
Historians and journalists also serve, now more than ever.
I'm not about yucking other folks' yum, so I missed/passed the Great Tuna Melt Controversy. Besides, I might learn something that I will find to be great.

But grammar and folks being willfully obtuse have been known to rev me up.
Consultants. And nonsensical commitment to past practice. The Democratic Party establishment is still afraid of Reagan's ghost.

Long past time to move on.
Bull's eye.

Yep they don't care about how much death and destruction they cause they're going to walk right over us to reach their goals, if not stopped.
They follow zero rules but plan on hardening them against anyone not with them.
Net-net: one-party rule.

THAT was what was on the table a year ago.
THAT is what petulance and purity enabled.

Kids are smarter than they let on. Be careful around kids; they are observational sponges. They just don't yet have the discernment to understand *exactly* what they've observed. That comes later with experience and insight.

When they hit adolescence they discover just how bad adults really are.
The "establishment", such as it is, can be replaced.

Make it so.
Looks at calendar; Googles 10/17/2015.

"IT'S BEEN TEN YEARS ALREADY?!?!?!"

Time marches on.
Ten years ago Friday, seven magic words changed college football forever.

“𝙒𝙝𝙤𝙖, 𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙣𝙖𝙥!”

The sign underscores exactly what MAGA wants others to think.

Let's try again. Please.
America will be strong again, will advance towards greatness when it gets its collective head re-oriented towards building up its people, preserving its environment and resources, and building an equitable justice system that works for everyone.
The whole foundation of American wealth and power derives from natural resources, labor, consumers, and a justice system that works for everyone.

Billionaires don't care about any of that because they can't understand or see the connections. It's something they can't feel or hold and it galls them.
I don't need a poll to tell me how I should structure my party's platform. It should be about protecting workers, consumers, the environment, preserving the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Act, and Roe v. Wade. And there's plenty of other more current issues to work on as well.

Wanna know why?
Reagan won the 1980 Presidential election over Jimmy Carter. The flailing within the Democratic Party started then and hasn't abated since. The *current* OG Dems are the problem. There's isn't a stance that isn't driven by consultants and polls, which only speaks to moral bankruptcy.
The so-called "Reagan Revolution" wasn't a revolution: it was dragging an entire country back to the past. Democrats were only too anxious to preserve their majorities in Congress and instead, they gave away their standing as a major political party and set the table for Donald Trump years later.
What he says. 👇👇👇

This is hindsight, but there's a lesson to be learned: when one side is trying to play catch up to the other or consolidate their position without thought or consideration for those with the least power, that's a failure of not only institutions but of actors with influence.
Emerging from the darkness of this era will require us to acknowledge that the previous status quo, including many institutions that may have served us well in another era, have been failing for my entire lifetime.
Biden should have told Netanyahu that Israel wouldn't get any more weapons as long as he kept bombing Gaza. Hindsight, I know. But this, unfortunately, highlights why Democrats undercut themselves and their message. They are unwilling to be ruthless with those who do evil.
