On Oscar Peterson's 💯, the >10< LPs he recorded with the trio between July 14 and August 9, 1959, with drummer Ed Thigpen having replaced guitarist Herb Ellis just a few months back.

His wife, Fresh Air host Terry Gross, said the longtime contributor to The Village Voice and NPR had been living with emphysema and Parkinson's disease.
