Capybara and I were so happy that our cat is looking to be on the mend, we decided to try a pizza place recommended to us by a friend to celebrate. What's funny is the friend is anosanosemic (no sense of taste), so it's more about texture from their perspective.

Bella's bloodwork came back healthy so she's getting an antibiotic treatment for a possible UTI. She seems to be doing well and her leaking has decreased. We're going to keep her isolated until we know she's back in control of her body completely, but it's looking good for once.

Bella is loudly protesting against her isolation. I believe her pain meds have worn off because her yowling is relentless. My heart hurts every time she cries and I've barely slept.

Pay creators for their creations. We do not live in a system where most creators can live sustainability through their creations. If you want their work, you pay for it, you find an ethical way to access it, or you live without it. You are not owed free access to the work of creators.

I'm thankful for my partner's dad who, upon hearing my cat is sick, asked if I wanted to bring her over with us even though he's allergic to cats. He knows how much she means to us and, having recently lost his beloved dog, he understands and wants to help how he can.

I feel terrible that my cat is having a health scare when I'm on potato duty for turkey day. Luckily, we bought backup sweet potatoes and might be able to grab instant mashed potatoes to see us through.

Bella is still having accidents so we're isolating her to the bathroom. We don't get her test results until Friday, but we've set up what signs will be our deciding factors in saying goodbye since this came on very suddenly and severely. Hopefully it's just arthritis pain or a weak bladder.

Bella is doing well. She's on pain pills and it seems to have helped because (so far) there have been no more accidents. We're still scared and I check on her every ten minutes if we're not in the same room. We also set up some pads in popular nap spots so she has quick access. Blood results Fri.

Back from the vet. They did a full blood panel and suggested we put Bella on pain meds. She was a little dehydrated but the vet had no immediate concerns and thinks it may have been a side effect of pain from arthritis. We're going to keep close watch on her and act once we get her blood results.

Please, please, please, send magic to my cat. She's elderly and diabetic but had been holding out fine until today. I'm hoping she's just having incontinence issues but terrified it could be something serious.

It's getting to the point that I'm starting to think anti-medical people really just don't give a shit if they or anyone around them live or die and they put the onus of their suicidal/murderous ideation on "God's Will."

"Death of the Author" doesn't mean separating the author's bad behaviour from their art. It means taking away their authority and allowing readers to interpret the art based on their own perspectives. It doesn't absolve the author of being a bastard, in fact it may inform how you interpret the art.

My cat did a fabulous job distracting me from spiraling over turning 40 by taking a sickly shit on her scratching pad and then vomiting from what I'm guessing is the noxious fumes from said dump. What a champ.

I was doing more cleaning and I stg it felt like I got drop-kicked by the devil right in my uterus. I'm in bed wrapped in my heating pad and medicated on Midol. I feel bad I had to stop, but I literally couldn't keep going.

I'm going to TRY to make brown butter and sage mashed potatoes for turkey day. If I fuck them up, I have Trader Joe's vanilla bean sweet potatoes as backup. I've grown since last year.

Did a full deep clean of the fridge and it was badly needed. I frequently have to pay the ADHD food tax, but this was next level.
