1/x After having had my driver's license, I never wanted to have to do with public transportation again. During 90% of my studies, my goal was to get into aviation or work at Porsche. In the last semester, I enrolled in “Economics and Ethics” class, and “Transportation Systems” at the same time

Was mich in der Schweiz frustriert, ist, wie schwierig es ist, übliche Zutaten zu kaufen, die über Hörnli hinausgehen. Es gibt weder bei der Migros noch im Coop Szechuan-Pfeffer. Hallo?

It’s funny how Zurich people pretend they live in a real city while it take 30 minutes to cross half of it in a tram that barely has the average speed of a child on a bike

Only 2 years since the ban on neonics, France's population of insect-eating birds has risen 2-3% - from banning a single type of insecticide. Demonstrating just how much harm we cause birds when pesticides kill off the insects they need for food.

Good news: Study shows France’s birds making tentative recovery after neonicotinoid pesticide ban

UK has only just closed loophole in neonics ban (‘derogations’) so may be too soon to see recovery here?

The AI bubble is a never expected opportunity to topple longtime market leaders, as they will inevitably lose grip on their business success for the sole reason that they are getting rid of anyone who actually understands what the hell is going on.

The worst about LLM are forum users who reply to a question by quoting the wrong answer ChatGPT gave them. “I bought a camera that is PAL only, can't I change it to NTSC at all?” “According to ChatGPT you can just change it in the settings”"no that's not possible""oh then ChatGPT is wrong"
Duh!

My pet peeve is to read or hear people use abbreviations or acronyms so save two dozen signs or seconds of speaking time, but as a consequence gatekeeping the message, making it hard to read or ambiguous. I'm considering to write my whole thesis without any content abbreviation because of this…

The “E-Bike Effect:” Those who bought e-bikes increased their average daily bicycle use from 2.1km (1.3 miles) to 9.2km (5.7 miles), a 340% increase. The e-bike share of all their transportation increased dramatically too; from 17% to 49%.

E-bikes support fewer car trips.
