I actually randomly missed the quiet of posting on here (almost called it tweeting).
🤣 That's the key. I normally just zone out till I hear my name being called, then I'm quick to say "Sorry the call dropped for a bit, can you repeat the question." Thank the universe for shit network sometimes.
Superman could never! 😂
The height of my remote work experience is being in two meetings concurrently 🤣

One in my ear, and one on my laptop. It's been interesting.
I remember when he was born and I had two puppies, and I couldn't tell the difference between them 😂. That was when I understood the whole tabula rasa concept. At that stage, you've got to teach them everything. Fascinating stuff.
Also, call me boring but with this kid I've become the "everything is a lesson" kind of person 😂 A lesson on personal hygiene can feed into a larger lesson on compassion, respect, empathy (e.g. make sure you leave the washroom decent for the next user). It's so interesting.
It's different if age adds more perspective to something you were taught (and understood) as a child. But if you're sure that a child will only understand a lesson when they are older means you haven't spent enough time thinking of ways to break down, simplify and teach.
Helping raise my nephew has taught me that there's no such thing as a lesson that makes sense only in the future. If it doesn't make sense now, then you aren't teaching it right.

"You'll understand when you're older" no longer holds much weight with me.
If a human being can do all of these but have no personality, no ability to think/record memories that inform who they are, no conscious mind; all these being necessary to sentience, then are they alive?

Hmm.
I'm just a writer, man. Even doctors cannot agree on what death means. What does it mean to be alive/dead? Back in secondary school we were taught that for something to be classified as living they must be able to move, respire, sense, grow, reproduce, excrete, and feed.
I'm minding my business trying to work and my son, who's on vacation, pauses his colouring to ask me the deeply philosophical question:

"Are zombies alive or dead?"
Nobody:
Me: You have plants, right? Here's a gardening TikTok video I saw for you.
I've become the guy that spends the day working, and goes on TikTok in his free time. And then sends links to relatable TikToks to his friends on WhatsApp.

This is what the modern day uncle looks and feels like, I can tell.
Having more than two accounts will be overkill. How many opinions can you have? 🤣
the 4 twitters
There's nothing new under the sun.
You're kind ❤️❤️
Just found out sign ups are on hold so 😂

Hey everyone who helped me make alt text on twitter a thing -- can I get some help with getting @bsky.app to take screen reader accessibility seriously around here?
I never thought I'd end up becoming the "puts a movie on for background noise" kind of person.
I've got two invite codes for whoever needs them 😊
A similar thing happened a couple years ago with "Working With Rawlings" it was all excitement about the stuff Ahwoi revealed in the book, and then it died down and his books are still on the shelf. Chale.
🤣 The optimism. In Ghana, memoir writing is seen as for the political/business elite. Hopefully this means that more people in entertainment will think of capturing their stories through books. But honestly, these things die out and the enthusiasm goes back to being dormant.
