Today, we also know that international funds allocated to fighting global hunger will be reduced by 44% in the coming years. Funding for the treatment of severe acute malnutrition will drop by 49%! #N4G
The full lethal impact of massive cuts to international food aid
The sudden withdrawal of almost half of global funding for nutrition suddenly will have dire consequences for decades.

Time to challenge our assumptions on #malnutrition. It is not a marginal issue but the leading cause of infant mortality worldwide. Almost HALF of all deaths among children under 5 years old is related to malnutrition. #N4G

Interesting discussion on the future of the #humanitarian system at #HNPW today. Just wish we addressed the politicisation of #aid more openly and not as a marginal issue. Hard to see aid reform moving forward unless we recognise that often donor governments do not give based on needs.

This is not one case, but a pattern of oppression.

Insightful analysis of the 1st draft of the #ffd4 outcome document by @bodoellmers.bsky.social. Encouraging to see it call for a reverse in #aid budget cuts given the recent trends in the US and Europe.
