At one of my lectures on the baking of pasties I was once asked "What good is it?". I did reply that "one day George Osborne will attempt to tax it".
Made some pork, fennel and chilli meatballs for tea (yet again Mrs Fa wanted hers with a baked potato instead of the pasta 🤷‍♂️)

Crap weather...so spent time making Christmas puddings and mulled wine for later.

Decided to make a Christmas pudding this year. The best thing about this decision is that the recipe calls for smallish amounts of different types of booze. So have rum, port and brandy going spare.

Down at the coast again today. We live only 7 miles inland from here and had mainly rain today!

Raining here again, Mrs Fa wanted ice cream....so I had the duty of dashing into Spar while she drove the getaway car back home.

Hey, comrade Mole @edcarver.bsky.social - have you developed "Spy-pigeon-on-wheels" to counter this threat?

Putin's scientists are creating spy pigeons controlled by brain implants
The researchers say the pigeons can be steered 'at will'.

A ridiculously obvious point made ridiculously necessary to highlight only because of the current US administration and the rise of Reform in the UK.
"Over the past 100 years, Russia has attacked 19 different countries — some of them 3-4 times — and none of these countries, including Ukraine, has ever attacked Russia." - EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.

Accidently heard some of R4 Moral Maze....Tim Stanley was pontificating.

Felt immediately nauseous.

Better now thanks.

The petition calling for a public inquiry into Russian interference has really picked up stream and is now over 15k. Well done everyone for your good work.

Ffs, Ashes....England make me test my theory that bad things happen when I listen.
I stay up to listen to the beginning.
When Root gets out for a duck, I turn the radio off, go to bed
Wake up and hear about brutal England bowling recovery.
Yet another positive test of my theory.

Of course you don't necessarily need to take Russian bribes to blame the EU and NATO for Putin's bloody attack on Ukraine. You might just do that because you're a vile, racist, traitorous cunt.

Good on Ed Davey. Anyone who doesn't see the primary aim in UK politics must be to prevent this vile piece of excrement becoming our PM is either a dribbling idiot or....well...a vile piece of excrement.
Donald Trump is gunning for the BBC, and Farage is cheering him on. Want to know why? Follow the money…

I've good memories of the 2010/11 Ashes as was in a holiday cottage, Cornwall....thick snow outside. Stayed up late by a log fire with whisky. I'm retired now, match begins 2:20 am...but need to do stuff tomorrow as we've people coming round.

BBC R4 news on the Russian spy boat. Newsreader pronounced 'rhetoric' as 're-toric' with stress on 2nd syllable. Sounded jarring.

I've despatched a spy dinghy up the Severn to monitor how @frmo.bsky.social cheats at Wordle. It's armed with lasers and heavily disguised he'll never spot it.

Donald Trump is coming for the BBC and for your wallets.

I urged the Prime Minister to stand up for the 23.8 million licence fee paying households, and tell Trump he won't get a penny.

Missing Flamingo News : Day...whatever

Frankie Flamingo, who's been missing for over a week, and not eaten by notorious (now seemingly castrated) swan-feaster @frmo.bsky.social, is believed to be living in France. And who can blame her given all the shitty flags?
