This. "Extinction" talk just forces people to roll their eyes, especially in very challenging economic times. Nobody is going to put world problems ahead of their own family's interests. Governments need to get elected before they implement ANY policies on climate.
I continue to believe that framing climate change as an imminent existential threat or comparing it to World War II is a major, major strategic error.
