it is FAR too easy to make candied hazelnuts, it may become a recurrent motif in upcoming baking………

made them on a whim last night bc i thought they would go good on a cake, these are deliciously dangerous

the candied hazelnuts, made by throwing hazelnuts and salt into a wet caramel base, absolutely DIVINE

the cake made with the candied hazelnuts, a simple 3 layer sponge cake with blackberry jam between each layer
crushed up candied hazelnuts are peppered on top of the cake
