I'm Carmine, a self-taught artist and rabid lesbian working on two sapphic comics. I draw a lot of pinups, design a lot of characters, and incorporate a lot of macabre and midcentury-modern elements into my work.

“Meditation”

A dark deer head floats above a decapitated male body in a dark forest. The body is bending to one side as if bowing. One of its arms is held at its side, its clawed hand is barely visible in the dark foliage. Its other arm fades into a glowing orange outline. The moon is dim and orange. A similar shape is hovering just below the figure.

The deers head is purely in silhouette and it drips a stream of dark fluid onto the figure below. Its antlers stretch into abstract branches and pedals. There seem to be embers in the canopy.
