What's that ominous shadow stalking through the fog on the moors? Why, it's the moorscrag!

Named for its preference for hunting on the moors at dusk & dawn, especially during foggy days, the moorscrag's weapon of choice are those gangly talons that can strangle its prey to death.

I’m building a guitar in the shape of a Stratocaster. To date, I’ve had help from a company specializing in C&C cut guitar bodies, a well-known Squamish Nation indigenous carver, Rick Harry, and a couple from Serbia who design funky anodized aluminum pickguards.

A C&C cut-out guitar body made of light pine. The guitar body was carved by Rick Harry Xwalackton. Rick Harry is a well-known indigenous carver from the Squamish Nation. Before he started, we discussed a Sea to Sky theme, which is the name of our Howe Sound corridor. You can see the salmon for sea, the bear for land, and the eagle for sky. This is how the guitar will look with the anodized aluminum pick-guard. The next step is to have the body sprayed with a silk coating of eurathane to preserve the wood and Rick Harry’s carving. The neck will be a Fender American Professional 2 roasted maple. The pickups are three single-coil Ron Ellis 50/60s The Volume and Tone controls are Fender's standard potentiometer kit with a capacitor. 🎶🎸🎶

That day job paid for all of my rent, plus most of my expenses. The severance I got will cover most of my rent + expenses for one month, but that's it. And it's a very difficult time to be looking for a job right now (my last big job hunt took almost three months for a minimum wage position). My family has offered to lend me a hand for expenses if I need it, and I'm going to be looking into options like EI and art grants to keep me afloat, but other then that, my monthly income is now almost entirely dependent on my artwork. And it's obviously a very difficult time to be trying to make a living as an independent artist right now." I know it's a pretty rough time (understatement) for a lot of folks right now, but if you're able to give some money to help me out while I'm trying to get through this rut, it'd be greatly appreciated. 1. I have a monthly ko-fi membership (Tip Jar) where you can get occasional private WIP updates for as low as 4$ CAD (about 3$ USD) per month! This is great if you don't have the change for a commission or shop items/shipping but want to pitch in a little bit to me! 2. I have an online shop on the same ko-fi! It has stickers, prints, pins, and keychains of my formline art. US shipping is available and prepaid duties (tariffs, derogatory) are factored into the applicable product shipping cost. Great if you're looking for stocking stuffers this holiday season! 3. I take custom commissions for formline art from time to time! The reason I list this last is because comms take the most physical and mental strain of all these options, and the last thing I want to do is burn myself out when I'm already struggling. won't have em for this weekend, but i've been getting a few more people at my table than I'd like lately asking *very pointedly* if i drew everything myself, so i designed a new sticker this afternoon that will hopefully quell some of those concerns.
