Yes, I noticed, the point was to link references to books referencing ghost stories in dutch from before 1974. some are passing references but others look to be collections of stories.

My viola teacher when I was young used to collect them, back in the pre-internet days, and keep a word-processor file with his collection that he'd give his students a print-out of. Wish I still had that. :(

So real. It's funny too b/c as the kids get older and, you know, more able to do things for themselves, the times *also* get more convenient for working hours. Kids sports? gonna miss some work. Teen sports? Yeah, those will be after work...later hours for the older kids that can actually drive! 🤷‍♂️

I feel we need a better model. I want to support journalists and other creators, the current model of subscribe or gtfo is a problem. This isn't your problem, I know, just stating where i feel a lot of ppl's frustration comes from.

Here's where my paywall fatigue comes in: I pay for multiple outlets, but I frequently see a random article that looks interesting from some random city or town. I would like to read the article, id even pay for the article, but I'm not going to sub the newspaper for a single article.

I doubt the pipe heater would be visible from outside. Another option was built in vacuum? figured you'd know though. Maybe check the breaker box and see if there's anything labeled in the breaker box that seems unexpected? Doubt you'd be so lucky for it to be on its own circuit, but never know!

Did some sleuthing, you've already addressed a few options. Another that seemed promising: someone had one in an apt that controlled some sort of pipe heater to keep exterior-wall pipes from freezing? Maybe security lighting outside? & I assume those blinds aren't electric?
