Is it time to make the FCC an organization outside of government control?

I charged at the @ionnaofficial.bsky.social in Scranton and loved to see the price of 25c/kWh. I can’t help but wonder if that price is sustainable. I’d price Level 2 charging at 1.5x cost and DC and 2x cost of the electricity.

So after seeing the EPA’s move to delete Climate Science and the EPA’s standing that climate change is harmful to human health, is Lee Zeldin at least getting a good price for selling his soul?

@tommolog.bsky.social I’d love to see you do a video about if/how a Jackery or EcoFlow battery helps charge your car a bit better when you only have a 110v option (Adirondacks for example). That way the car can leave but not miss the juice from those two hours.

@rivianofficial.bsky.social love the Hamptons outpost. I’d love to see one in the Adirondacks.fill in that charging desert and more people can use Rivian up there.

I think the biggest reason to get away from Superman standing for the American Way and replacing it with a Better Tomorrow is the fact that it will play better internationally and help keep appealing so it can maximize revenue. Very capitalistic, not sure why MAGA objects.

If the US health are system was as good then medical tourism wouldn't be a thing.
July 16, 2025 at 2:19 PM
It is so baffling to see MAGA upset by James Gunn pointing out that Superman is an immigrant. They said it makes the movie political. Every (space) alien is an immigrant on Earth. How is this news to them?

For EV consumption can we switch to Tesla’s method of Wh/mile instead of miles/kWh? The savings aren’t the same between 1m/kWh and 2m/kWh as there are from 2m/kWh and 3m/kWh. In Wh/mile it is obvious as it is comparing 1,000Wh/m down to 500Wh/m vs 500Wh/m down to 333Wh/m.

@nyserda.bsky.social I love seeing money go to EV charging with companies like Voltpost. How much are you spreading to community leaders that those products exist for cities and counties to realize they fit well on their streets?

@petebuttigieg.bsky.social instead of locking our Chinese EV manufacturers does it make sense to adopt their approach and have them pair with US manufacturers to develop, build, and sell EVs together here?

RIP Norm. I hate to hear about George Wendt’s passing

The EPA getting rid of start/stop technology is the dunbest thing I've seen since this administration decided to get rid of energy star. Are our fuel prices not high enough we need to increase demand more?

Are we seeing the start of a Trumpression? It is possible. #depression
April 4, 2025 at 7:28 PM
I hope it’s not lost on others we are just playing tariff chicken with other countries. #TrumptyDumpty has been such a disaster for our country.

I predict EREVs and not PHEVs will be the last gas/diesel cars made. They are electric cars that have a gas generator onboard that only recharges rhe battery. No two power trains, no gears, so you can live that EV life and drive 100-200 miles on electric alone and fill up on road-trips with gas.
February 10, 2025 at 6:37 PM
Imagine EVs came 1st and you were pitching has cars. They are about 10% cheaper to buy but that is offset by being more expensive to fuel and maintain. You can’t fill up at home but the fillups are under 5 minutes. They will take more of your time to fill around town but save you time on the road

@hankgreen.bsky.social Could even the most water rich community in the country have enough water supply to deal with a wild fire running through town like it did LA?
January 29, 2025 at 9:05 PM
With people losing power in this cold spell I wonder how many are considering a battery backup or maybe a Ford F150 Lightning with home backup power. I can’t wait for more EVs to roll them out. The batteries may not be robust enough to power the house every night but a few times a year should be ez

While I love that Rivian is helping VW with software I have to wonder how frustrated VW will be realizing they won’t be able to do all Rivian’s do because VW is less vertically integrated. That is also the key to why Tesla’s software is the best by far in nearly every regard.

God forbid that US users use a social media app that isn’t primarily making a few Americans super rich. This new requirement that the Felon In Chief has that the US take 50% ownership (of a company already mostly owned by those outside of China) of Bytedance is insane and will taint TikTok.
January 21, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Wasn’t prepared for Lemon8 to not be available either today. My daughter said CapCut also isn’t available. This is so shit. #freetiktok
January 19, 2025 at 4:09 PM
The big reason there hasn’t been large protests about the ban of TikTok is because we are still busy using it while we can. Next week though, it’s on.

I’m loving the videos of people reuniting with their Chinese Spy on Rednote.
January 14, 2025 at 1:56 PM
So short Meta stock and figure out who owns Rednote. I love this change for us.
