I also remember being a little freaked out by the skeletons in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) and Jason and the Argonauts (1963) as well as the ones in the original pirates of the Caribbean movie but it wasn't an intense fear. It's funny because I love anything to do with skeletons now lmao

A bit late to the Skeleton party but I don't believe I've ever been incredibly scared of skeletons. I think when I was really little I used to be scared of those animatronic halloween skeletons though, especially if they were made to look different than a regular skeleton (big fangs, horns, etc.)
