Heartbreaking and blatantly un-American. These events are celebrations with lots of family members and friends on hand. Now the people turned away will worry that Trump might try to force them out of the country. What a mistake for America, too. No doubt each one of these people has lots to offer.
“She showed up as scheduled, and when she arrived, officers were asking everyone what country they were from, and if they said a certain country, they were told to step out of line and that their oath ceremonies were canceled.”

Greetings from Chicago! I’m looking forward to inspiring some terse creativity on Bluesky this week.

Since December 7, 1941 was a “date which will live in infamy” I’m offering the word #date as my first prompt. Take your best shot at infamy!

The strong geese claim the sky again

Blind to their huge, water-carved charts,
our blood dull to the tug of poles,
we are tuned still to the rising & dying of light

I’ve reported an inaccuracy on a Google AI Overview that states the ICE raid of 450+ Koreans at the Hyundai plant in Georgia was “late 2024.”

That would mean it happened under Biden but the ICE raid occurred under Trump. The actual date was September 4, 2025.

We’ve always been monsters… murdering, cold-blooded monsters.

We can also look back to what we did to Native Americans.

& not just Americans. Look at WWII & wars where Americans weren’t even involved.

I’m talking about human beings. What an awful lot we are.

the running down, for no reason
of an old woman in South Vietnam
by a U.S. Army truck

in bookstores, in the parks
however we may scream we are
suffering quietly
