Months after Donald Trump failed to win the Nobel Peace Prize—again—FIFA decided to step in with its own “Peace Award”. A consolation prize? No. A stage for ego inflation.

The answer to today’s shifting world is clear: Europe needs its own defence, a truly common strategy and a real European army. With growing threats from the East and a U.S. administration ready to step back, pretending nothing has changed would be dangerous.

Sanctions matter – and so does coherence.
The US Treasury has temporarily eased some sanctions on the Russian oil giant Lukoil to keep fuel stations outside Russia running.
But let’s be clear: the priority must remain cutting off the Kremlin's war machine from international revenues. 1/2

A blue passport with gold stars. 💙⭐
For now, it’s just an option. But it’s already a symbol.

A new survey across nine EU countries reveals a powerful message: Europeans are anxious—but they’re also choosing Europe.
Nearly half of respondents see Donald Trump as a threat to Europe. A majority fear war with Russia. Most feel their own countries couldn’t defend themselves in a crisis. 1/2

Orbán promised to reverse Hungary’s population decline without immigration — relying only on higher birth rates and family incentives.
A decade later, the outcome is clear: the population continues to shrink, young people are leaving, and government programmes to bring them back have failed.

Europe is turning the page on energy dependence.
With a landmark agreement, the EU will permanently end imports of Russian gas and phase out oil by 2027. This is not just about energy — it's about autonomy, resilience, and standing up to aggression. 1/2
