I have come to the idea that we have to collectively, brutally, ritualistically kill Target just to show capital that we truly aren’t fucking around.

Folks, MARTY SUPREME is absolutely exquisite. The kind of magnetic filmmaking that leaves you buzzing with energy on the way out. Timothèe Chalamet has never been better. Will definitely be in my top 10 of 2025.

This and people are always choosing what to watch on streaming instead of discovering stuff on cable. That’s why I love stuff like PlutoTV right now.
The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

Dang, AirPods 4 on sale for $70. Definitely replacing mine, since my current pair I’ve had forever and the battery life blows now.

I’m glad they’re called Funyuns and not Stinky Crunch Rings.

I don’t really have anything fun to say for this one. I’m just seeing a movie that I’m interested in, okay?

PREDATOR: BADLANDS whips serious ass. Don’t let the PG-13 rating fool you. The movie is gloriously violent, bloody, and fun, it’s just not human blood being spilt, so they get away with more than you think.

Elle Fanning is also superb, delivering another fantastic career-turn.

Oh, thanks so much Meta and AI. Seeing a picture of my dead Dad from an old birthday (which is in January by the way) with shitty AI photo manipulation is exactly what I want. It’s so cool and not ghoulish at all. I guess now I know what he looks like as an old timey ghost?

Just caught the beginning of CHARLIE’S ANGELS (2000) for the first time in a long time.

What the fuck happens to that passenger plane after Drew Barrymore (as LL Cool J) opens the door mid-flight and jumps out with the dude that has a bomb strapped to him?

Tried to take a day off. My car had a different plan and hit me with the check engine light and battery light. Fun!

Been a long time since I had a triple feature day for work, but today I’m seeing BUGONIA, FRANKENSTEIN, and BLACK PHONE 2.

Hope it’s a good day!
