I haven't yet seen Demon Wind, but I have come across it several times over the years, and the running joke is I always say to my wife "hey look, they made a movie about your farts!"

I had a friend in high school who took acid and then went and saw this in theaters. I can only imagine what she went through. She tried to explain it all to me later but it was obviously pretty wild.

I personally loved the ideas and set designs. Maybe mis-cast?

I'm sure you've seen it, but we cancelled ours as well (several years ago) and sort of wish I would have given the Fear Street movies a shot

I didn't even love "Nope", but I'd rather watch the flashback scene with the monkey going crazy on loop for an hour and a half, than revisit "The Monkey" again TBH.

No joke, that's probably what happened. Someone forgot to stock any booze, and he started getting the shakes I bet.

That the first couple (if not more) seasons basically centered around the difficulties between Sal and his brother, who was afraid of magnets touching each other or whatever nonsense, was sort of a weird direction, but I guess I liked the Mike storyline at least (only thing that brought me back).

After yesterday's visit from Grandma and Grandpa, the Gremlin's "Frosty Frights" Halloween kids meal toy collection from Wendy's keeps growing. I just think they're cute.

Man did he continually dick over Locke on that show, lol

Tell Brit to nab me some jerky as well while she's there, please

Absolutely. My folks even named our cat "Shelana", after the reference from the Great Outdoors, lol.

Planes Trains and Automobiles is an all-timer for me. It's my favorite Hughes, Candy, and Martin flick. His Del Griffith was a hell of a character.

I remember watching both this and Hell Fest around the same time, and although I was more excited to see Hell Fest, ended up liking Haunt more.

"I'm an equipment manager, not Robert De Niro in Heat!" lol. That line got a chuckle from me.

Learned a lot of new things about this comedy and film legend. I was about 11 or 12 when he passed, but was already quite aware of him and his movies, and was saddened. Growing up they were always on our family's TV.

I might finally give this a spin later today while the Gremlin naps.

I don't know who was more satisfying on that show, him or the "sausages" guy

What's the best one-liner in movie history?

"Mother, this cloth smells of death."
Creepy Michael tells his mother that a cloth he finds smells of death in Burial Ground (1981)

The Gremlin really wore me out for whatever reason yesterday (she's really starting to earn her nickname), so I'm looking forward to my folk's visit today. A couple of hours of her climbing all over them and demanding they draw pumpkins, lol.

About an hour until the Gremlin's bedtime. I might honestly then just go upstairs and watch a movie in bed, and not even bother with the couch.

I guess that "Columbus" actor was also in a V/H/S/2 segment, so that's cool I guess.

I guess my folks are bringing Pizza Hut "Flatzz" again tomorrow for lunch. Which one are you getting?

Never knew that even existed. Wow that looks bad.
The Zombieland TV series apparently

I know it takes place over the summer, but it still does have fun Halloween vibes for whatever reason. I've also been thinking about a rewatch, and is a movie I can watch with the little one.

She's been fighting them lately (as well as going to bed), so I'm glad the Gremlin actually went down for a nap today. Spending this hour or so peacefully sitting out back with the dogs while I sip my coffee and doomscroll.
