The IG performs a critical function of oversight and accountability in the USgov.
The IG is important for managing the power given to individuals working in government positions.

The Inspectors General refuse to leave until the action is taken legally, which they do not believe it was, and neither do senators like Chuck Grassley. This is what not backing down looks like.

2/ Over ~2 weeks in 2019, 1,400 WhatsApp users were targeted with #Pegasus.
WhatsApp did the right thing & sued NSO Group.
NSO has spent 5 years trying to claim that they are above the law.
Did all sorts of maneuvering.
With this order, the music stopped and NSO is now without a chair.

2. You can’t unring a bell. The misinfo always spreads farther than any correction.
