We are seeking safe spaces for trans people in Texas to escape the openly mobilizing white supremacy movement. Many of them are homeless and would need assistance with a place to sleep, food, mentorship, and counseling. Can you help us?

Transgender young adults in Texas, born into extremist hate groups, face extreme danger with little exposure to inclusivity. Many try to escape, but with Nazi groups mobilizing openly, the risks are terrifying, and homelessness makes it harder. We must step up to help them find safe spaces and hope.

A new friend I’ve met attempted to physically WALK to the closest blue state outside Texas. After 6 days with everything they own on their back - they were physically unable to continue and forced to give up. That’s heartbreaking to me. Work with me to get people out of here safely.

Yes. Wonderful idea! There is no hero on the way. Only us. Most people are wary helping “strangers”. They want someone else to step up. There are lots of orgs to help lobby but very few helping real people directly. The vibe here is a fear of being shot in the street when the state takes over.

I turned 50 and lost all ability to tolerate bullshit or wait for a hero. I’m selling everything to buy a property to create an inclusive creative community. This creative GenX alt kid finally found a way to point her passion. Safety in numbers. I’m being a baby about snow.

I feel the same way. I turned 50 and it’s like I immediately lost all ability to tolerate any of this. I am selling everything and buying property to create a creative collective of that is an inclusive safe space for everyone I know (and ones I have not met yet). I hope to be on it by end of 2025.

Helping a stranger can feel intimidating but with help we are empowered. Would your friend group consider volunteering as a “found family” for an endangered LGBTQ person who has been forced into a shelter here in Texas? The shelters are not safe.
