I'm the Simon fight away from Platinum on Expedition 33, and I'm not doing it. Not worth it. The main story and so many elements of this game are perfect. The late game content is a mess that doesn't understand the design or appeal of difficult games. It lowers my overall impressions considerably.

Had a quiet day today. Felt like I wasted my morning, but the rest of the day was decent. Feeling anxious about the week to come, but that's just a typical Sunday.

I really love Expedition 33 and think its GOTY win is well deserved. That being said, some of this late game stuff just flat out sucks. I hate when games waste my time.

Spent an hour and a half on the Flying Manor boss in Expedition 33. Not dying and retrying. Wasn't close to ever dying. Just one long, tedious battle. I still love the game so much, but that was not even a little fun.

Beat the main story in Expedition 33 tonight. I was definitely overpowered for it and probably should have tackled it 20 hours earlier. Still really enjoyed it and the game as a whole. Looking forward to wandering around the map and exploring the places I haven't been to yet.
