In high school I worked at the Oakland Zoo, and i cared for the zoomobile chinchillas. Every day they each got one raisin as a treat and every day Ronchoncho, the biggest chinchilla, would scheme to get all the raisins. Sadly we did not give him a party hat and I am now devestated by this oversight
amazing photo on spanish wikipedia's chinchilla article

Truly can’t get over the fact that Rand Paul’s solution to the cost of health care appears to be that the American People should simply form a second, less useless Congress that convenes at Costco

Imagine the power of people from all fifty states agreeing to collectively negotiate. What would you even call that? Ppl congregating to make a decision as a united group has never been tried. maybe while this health care voltron is in Sam’s Club they could negotiate for other things as well
Rand Paul: "I have a plan that says everybody in this marketplace -- it's only about 4% -- everybody in this marketplace should be able to go to Amazon or Costco or Sam's Club and as a group, a large group, millions of people, negotiate with big insurance to bring prices down."

Mr Brainwash your country needs you to do the funniest thing
Interesting to consider that if you were to go and deface the Kennedy center by removing Trump’s name, you’d be arrested and charged with a crime, but your act would be no more unlawful than what they’re doing right now.

I was working on an American history show at the time and we did a flu episode that ended up being mostly about why Americans didn’t memorialize it or WWI. I’ll be honest, it still baffles me and the same with covid and the 2020 uprisings and election backstoryradio.org/shows/flu/

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.
