Yeah, it really was not clear to me what version of the events Eärien would have heard at that point, and why Elendil didn't clarify anything it if she'd only heard an incorrect/untrue account...
Maybe the writers are saving that for s3 when Isildur returns and finds out? (But it *was* strange that he seems to be forgotten about for the rest of s2...)
I call it LotR rather than TLotR, so I write RoP instead of TRoP.
For example, what if he and Eärien have a role in Isildur saving the fruit from Nimloth? Or, after the Downfall, he tries to persuade Isildur to give up the Ring, so what he said in s2e8 about Isildur being lost to Middle-earth was prophetic?
Also I may have over-thought this, but I wonder how significant it is that he has a Quenya name? Did Míriel bless him as a baby, as in s1e4? Can she tell him more about his mother, to persuade him not to go along with Pharazôn anymore, even if the Faithful don't accept him?
You're likely right. I don't expect he'll be forgiven by the Faithful. But I think there's potential for him to do good in the end. For example, if he returns and finds everything's gone too far, Míriel may be able to influence him (maybe by showing him compassion in ways his father does not).
I'm hoping he'll redeem himself in a future season...
Followed you! It will be good to see you over there!
That's such a beautiful crust! 🥧
Maybe he just likes lurking in the crowd? 😂
My guess is he chose to stand there to be nearer to whatever would happen once Eärien showed up with the palantír...
Is that the star of Eärendil on his armour?! 👀✨
That seems very fair! 😂
Congratulations! 👏🎉
Cherry Rose sunflowers (my favourites). 🌻
Best of luck with the exam!
