Not to mention there's a lot of people who would like the actual content of podcasts, but who don't engage with the format. YouTube is a good way for those people's podcast-listening friends to expose them to content they would like but for the format.

That's a good point, yeah. Progressives are pretty terrible at getting the things they want to talk about into the news cycle. Now I wonder if it's because we're all too busy trying to look savvy to treat this sort of thing with the seriousness it deserves.

"Well obviously" is the least useful response to both journalism and science. Plenty of things that seem obvious turn out not to be true. It's good to investigate the stuff that we take for granted.

Biden gave us the biggest climate bill ever seen anywhere in the world, a stimulus that was actually big enough for the challenge he faced, plus was noticeably further left on labor and anti-trust.

Also this is about how they governed, not how they campaigned.

Also, the Nazis had no hope of victory against the Anglo-American alliance without WAY more raw materials from the Soviet Union than Stalin would willingly trade.

Letting the pre-Barbarossa status quo prevail would've eventually meant the Allies swamping the Luftwaffe & bombing Europe at will.
