maybe i wrote a little snippet of #neuvifuri inspired by this absolutely gorgeous artwork...?
The dragon angrily blew air out of his nostrils, Furina's hair ruffling in the gust of breath. It was warm and damp, but didn't hold the stench of brimstone Furina expected. Which was silly of her, really; he was clearly not a normal dragon.  "Hush, dear one," she crooned, gently stroking the soft, warm hide between his nostrils. They flared at her touch, his lilac eyes narrowing. "Let me take this foolishness off you." She reached for the heavy rope binding his jaw shut.  "Princess, I don't think you should do that, it's too dangerous," the guard to her left said in an alarmed tone.  "Nonsense," Furina said. "He won't hurt me. Will you?" Maybe she was wrong, maybe the moment she took the ropes off he'd snap her in half. But she didn't think so.  "Princess, stop." The second guard seized her arm to pull her away.  Next thing Furina knew she was sprawled on her hands and knees as the dragon loomed over her, an ominous growl thrumming in his throat as his head slowly wove back and forth. He wasn't looking down at her like she'd expected. Confused, Furina turned to look in the same direction. Both guards were laying on the ground too. One of them was still, and the other guard struggled to stand and pull his sword at the same time. "Princess Furina!" he cried in panic.  "It's okay," Furina said. "I'm fine." It took her a moment to realise that the dragon had knocked the guards away from her. Was it because one had grabbed her arm…? What was going on here? Was the dragon… was he trying to defend her from them? The dragon's growl sharpened, his head lowering menacingly, as other guards poured into the courtyard at the commotion. "The princess!" someone cried. "Help her!" "Don't!" Furina cried, as the guards drew their weapons, about to rush forward. She pushed to her feet, staggering forward between the guards and the dragon, arms spread wide as if she could protect him. "You will not hurt him!" neuvifuri

My first completed illustration of the year is a follow up to one of my most popular illustrations (linked below). This new one is titled "Fealty." 😁
We peer through ornate curtains at a king kneeling before a man in armor who stands before him. The king gazes up at the knight and is in the process of shrugging out of his ornate robes, which trail behind him. The knight cradles the king's face in one hand, and the king has a hand on the knight's armored leg.
