Immediately upon returning from vacation, I received a wall of text in the form of an email from an anti-vaxxer who had heard me on the radio.

My natural inclination was to respond earnestly with references and such but then I said fuck this guy and read a book instead.

NEW: Trump has pardoned Binance founder CZ, wiping away one of the US’s most significant crackdowns on crypto crime.

The pardon is emblematic of Trump’s approach to clemency:

CZ hired lawyers & lobbyists with Trump ties, while Binance struck a business deal with the Trump family’s crypto company.

This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.

I think the divide between people who are pro vs anti-LLM is the same divide as the people who have in-depth knowledge of a topic vs those who are "generalists".

Those who understand a topic see all the obvious cracks. Generalists can't see the cracks because their vision is blurred to begin with.
