The latest Amazon 5-star comment for my book, "Lizard People: Death Valley Underground":

"For readers drawn to desert noir, strange Americana, or stories that challenge the boundary between truth and myth, this book offers a gripping ride with plenty of unexpected turns."
One of the main points of the very patriotic "No Kings Rally" was the sheer volume of Americans who do not believe they are being represented or heard. This clueless person then takes the microphone and proves that our concerns are real and additional rallies are apparently needed.

HAPPENING NOW: A MASSIVE crowd of protesters flood the streets of San Diego for a “No Kings Day” rally showing their love for America and standing up against the corrupt fascist Trump administration. look how huge it is

Fish, shellfish, watering crops, carrying silt to form fertile deltas that grow food for millions of people worldwide - healthy, clean, abundant rivers are vital arteries of food security - a must-read from @wwf-water.bsky.social 👇
You have to check this out. #Rivers of #food: How healthy rivers are central to feeding the world, from @wwf-water.bsky.social.

@jjopperman.bsky.social wonderfully presented this work recently at the International Society for Rivers Science conference in Davis, CA.

Rivers of Food
One third of the world's food production is dependent on rivers. But they are under increasing pressure, threatening global food security now and in the future.

The length of a fictional story has been grouped into six categories: 1) Epic Novel (>200k words); 2) Novel (40k-200k); 3) Novella (17k-40k); 4) Novelette (7.5k-17k); 5) Short Story (1k-7.5k); 6) Flash Fiction (<1,000). There are entire literary journals focused only on flash fiction.
Blue Öyster Cult gets a pass on this one. They are popular in Japan. It would be folly for you or me, being considerably less well-known in Japan, to get away with the same appropriation. This is why Monty Python can get away with their form of humor, despite not being witch, newt, or British.
You humorously suggested the term "novzilla." Similarly, I suggest that since "Godzilla" has a uniquely Japanese origin derived from nuclear horrors, "novzilla" may be both a trigger & cultural appropriation. Best to use the traditional term "epic novel." Don't get me started with "flash fiction."
Recently, a new bat species was discovered in Africa. However, today marks the 33rd anniversary of the Endangered listing for Stenogyne bifida. With only one plant left, we may have lost the species before we even realized it was there. We are losing species faster than we can learn about them.

A 12-foot statue titled "Best Friends Forever," showing President Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and smiling, briefly appeared on Washington D.C.'s National Mall. It included plaques with excerpts from a birthday letter Trump allegedly wrote Epstein.
"Ek skillfully weaves a narrative that goes beyond the surface, delving into themes of hope, trust, deceit, & the intricate facets of character. It is a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit, offering a narrative that lingers in the mind long after the last page is turned."
Random photo attached to a woefully naive social media question. I routinely see social media accounts that have zero postings & zero social media activity, yet they have thousands of followers. How can this be? I usually don't follow an unknown account that has such a blank slate. I'm baffled.
T. Paine [in Common Sense]:
“If we omit [a constitution] now, some [huckster] may hereafter arise who, laying hold of popular grievances, may collect together the discontented, & by assuming to themselves the powers of government, finally sweep away the liberties of the continent like a deluge.”
If you're tired of only reading bestsellers, the books everyone else and their dogs (and lizard people) read, then my books would be an excellent alternative. Quality writing and storytelling combined with being the worst sellers ever — no better combination. :)

One of the greats has passed. Robert Redford was a celebrated actor, director, and someone who held a mirror up to America. His work will live on, but we Ordinary People will feel The Sting of his loss for years. Rest among the stars now, and when you see heaven, may a River Run Through It.
Unfortunately, Trump doesn't care whether the operation was legal or moral, or whether he had the authority to conduct it. He also knows no one will stop him. He probably likes it when people claim it's not legal, because when he's not held accountable, it feeds his feeling of power & control.
