First full day of work tomorrow, since October. I’m excited to get back to my students and new projects, but I’m going to cling onto the festive break until the morning. So here’s a white chocolate, raspberry and pistachio tiramisu that I made for Christmas Day!

IRAS amendments submitted, #EAWOP abstract submitted, and I’m back to work on Tuesday after nearly seven weeks off! I’m gonna celebrate this massively by catching up with friends from my last university tomorrow and watching my absolute hero, Paul McCartney, on Sunday 😍

I’ve been lucky enough to be able to have some of my PhD supervisor’s books. When I was on the train home yesterday, this was the first page I opened to. Relevant given that the majority of HEIs are restructuring at the moment. I wonder out of those, how may could claim 4/4 conditions

The Institute for Work Psychology held a lunch today to celebrate the life of my PhD supervisor, Karina. They even made her favourite dessert! She was an amazing mentor and friend, who I miss dearly. She was also the best in the world for organisational wellbeing interventions. ❤️

LinkedIn job posts are RIFE with red flags. E.g:

🚩 no salary advertised
🚩 ‘join our family’. Family is family, work is not
🚩 ‘do you thrive in a fast paced environment?’ - may as well say ‘we change things without planning properly’
🚩 mentioning ‘growth mindset’ in any form 😩
