The process of stigmatized dissent as terror is well underway.

And that's why I don't want my diverse country run by narrow-minded people like Mike Johnson. (4)

But beyond its stupidity, Johnson's comment is racist, ageist, and generally offensive. BB's immense audience is younger, browner, and less locked into Johnson's world view than LG's. By saying LG has "broader appeal," Johnson is saying people who don't look and think like him don't count. (3)

The NFL's choice of BB is not "woke"; it is a business decision. BB will bring in a vast new audience, many of whom would not normally be watching the SB. LG would not attract anyone who was not already tuned in. (2)

Mike Johnson criticized the choice of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime, saying he doesn't "appeal to a broader audience." He wanted Lee Greenwood.

BB averages 58 million streams a day on Spotify. LG: 32,000. That's 1800 people listening to a BB song for every LG. Who gas "broader appeal"? (1)

This is America's Reichstag Fire moment.

There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them.

This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

We don’t celebrate his death, but we won’t hide the truth about his life.

I do have to point out that as recently as 2016 four of the five elected statewide offices were held by Democrats, although the legislature was heavily gerrymandered for Republicans. Missouri's precipitous rightward plunge began then.

Oh, now they think courts have jurisdiction in immigration matters?

That is not what it says at all. It lists those officers as ones who are subject to removal for conviction of that individual. It literally does not say they are all removed upon impeachment and conviction of the president. It would be a catastrophe if "all civil officers" were removed at once.

After you had, what, a hundred FBI agents working around the clock to flag all references to a certain individual? Thanks a whole big bunch.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

I'm horrified that his approval ratings are still hovering around 50%.

The dignity of the office of President of the United States may never recover from this man.

That's what Republicans do every single time, so who's surprised?

This dog politely asked for a musician's drumstick in the middle of their performance. Always excited to find a fellow stick lover. 12/10

Their "jokes" are stress tests, to see how far people will let them go. They aren't esp "serious" abt the pope thing but are willing to be&are v serious to see which aspects of the "joke" the base will defend & embrace. That they generate outrage while doing it is just a bonus, a delight for them.
